  1. I taught myself how to do "Victorian" style panel shades after I retired. The first one I did I sewed by hand. It turned out beautiful but because of arthritis my hands ached for a week. Since then I have perfected a technique using the same panel shade process but using fabric glue. I know purists would turn their noses up at using glue. However, my end product is as good as one hand sewn. Thank you for offering this blog. I love your shades. Phil
